Clustering is a set of machine learning algorithms/processes under Unsupervised Machine Learning Method. It divides data into clusters Another fun fact is that it uses only features.

How this applies to healthcare

Data from a series of mammogram can be divided into clusters and experiment ran on them to pinpoint abnormal cases, this way it would reduce the rate of uncertainty during diagnosis.

Data Pipeline is important when working with data from different parts of the world, specifically Extract Transform Load is a popular framework for data pipelines.

How this applies to healthcare

Data starts

• Extraction - when a patient shows up at the reception to book an appointment due to signs/symptoms presentation, then

• Transform - the first medical point of contact is with nurses, for vital signs checks where important data related to the key organ functionality is recorded in a file related to that patient, before

• the doctor sees this patient then a medical diagnosis would be arrived at ( = what went wrong in medical terms) and recorded

• Load - next steps such as tests are being recorded under this same patient electronic file while

• the patient moves from one department to another

• NB: A patient diagnosis can be changed multiple times as much data is being derived from other departments eg haematology lab.

• 1 analogy

  In the space of cancer tech, there are a lot of similarities in diagnosis which helps in research but a lot of healthcare data isn’t readily available due to laws surrounding it.

• 1 question I’m exploring

• How fast would solutions be derived in healthcare if there were more ethical ways to share data?

To kickstart my learning, I started with Introduction to Notebook Projects which seems like the basics.

• For this exercise, I learnt what a Notebook is and learnt how to troubleshoot on it as well. For someone that uses VS Code, It’s a bit funny but I appreciate the knowledge.

• Yay, I got it right.

Firstly, I have no experience with hackathons, so this was a huge learning curve even though I decided to contribute as a writer because there was no role for a product manager.

Why I’m doing this:

As a Product Manager, I work a lot with software engineers and wanted to explore using my GitHub more.

This would expand my skills as a Product Manager so it’s a win-win situation. I plan on contributing to open source health tech projects and to be honest it’s been hard but more on that soon.

Today’s software is the famous Google Docs that we all know and adore.

I thought about the 100s of times that I forget to duplicate a doc and accidentally close the doc when the edit hadn’t saved. 😮(Yes, I hear it too.) The tears from all the hours put in.

iMessage connects close friends and has a range of fun features to add excitement to the chat, but not everyone knows about this.

Now we are bringing this fun to everyone through creating a guide to using the fun effects on iMessage.

As someone who records a lot on the go with my phone, Voice Memos on iPhone has been doing amazing with these features.

I realized that I would not easily transcribe what I recorded and needed another tool to do this, but it would be so much better if everything was in one place, right? Well that is why we are building this (hypothetically lol)

Welcome to day 3 of 100 days of Mida, where I look at software with new eyes and provide improvements or innovative solutions.

Today’s software application is YouTube.

As someone who loves to take social media detox and also embraces the arts on YouTube, I found myself setting alarms to take breaks to avoid getting sucked in during my spare time.

In a conversation with people who also loved watching videos but value their mental health.

I’ve found that we just want a sustainable way to consume media, and that brought up the idea of taking breaks (which is implemented on YouTube) from its hidden place on YouTube to a catchy front row seat 🍿
